This site is intended to procure detailed insight of the salvage excavation work carried out during a first short field campaign in Bhutan.

The first part of our Final Report is accessible online since May, 2001.

The project was implemented by the Swiss-Liechtenstein Foundation for Archaeological Research Abroad (SLFA), based in Zurich, Switzerland, as a mandate for the NGO Helvetas (Zurich and Thimpu).

We would like to thank all the institutions which supported us during the realization of the project.

Main goal

ascertain the historicity of three buried stone structures threatened by the construction of a new building complex
